It's 30s long with 20s of in game footage.

It shows you travelling down a steep slope with the Imerial City below, demonstrating mainly the dynamic draw distance.

Oblivion has a dynamic draw distance?! That's new on me! Morrowind had one created as a third pack hak and it was a great idea.

1 week Video is awesome. Grand vista with a huge scenery draw distance into the future. Nearby object details fade in at a perfectly acceptable rate. The setting sun gives a corona/flare effect which glistens your view anytime the sun is not behind an object. Sound effects are generic nature and a pretty washy background music.

6 day video is ok. Two scenes - 1st one of a trail of people on horses walking away from some ruins. Scenery is lovely and verdant, the path glows with the sunlight. Smooth shadows can be seen from the horses and riders. Character is seen from a rotated 3rd person view it seems, and seems to be holding some invisble reins. 2nd scene is nighttime and shows the horse from a 1st person perspective - the view 'bobs' in a very realistic manner with the motions of riding a horse. The horse head seems a little simplistic detail-wise, but nothing to worry about. A guard rides towards and past the character - flame effect on the torch is good and the light from the torch flickers a bit more than pulses which was morrowinds annoyance. The animation on the guard horse isn't quite perfect and the front hooves appear to slide a little on the ground. Sound effects in this vid seem good.

The game really does look impressive and atleast the combat system seems better then Morrowind.

    Definately.

5 day video shows off some combat. The character comes accross a resting demon who gets up quickly to attack the player. The instant spell casting is shown along with some interesting effects - the monster glows different colours when hit by the spell and subsequently the players (enchanted) sword. Next up is a fiesty goblin like monster who slashes away at the player before being dispatched - the hit effect is demonstrated where your vision blurs as you get hit - looks quite solid! For the killing blow the goblin is flung backwards. Finally is some minotaur killing in a field. Archery is demonstrated and looks very cool - an enchanted arrow is fired with a fireball type effect and as it kills the mino's they get launched into the air and a skull lying on the ground gets flung out of the picture.

Combat looks really cool as does the magic system. My only complaint about this vid is the 'slow-mo' effect on the physics - it appears that killing blows/spells launch the monsters some distance, but the physics seems slightly slowed down. Looks quite cool and actiony, but it's a bit too movie like for me.

The 4 day video is back to scenary, with a scrolling view accross a city top. Gorgeous scenary and hills in the distance, though it's also the first evidence of graphical slowdown in the videos.

The 3 day video shows off Oblivions lip synching technology, with spoken lines of dialogue from a multitude of actors/npcs. Looks ok - voice acting is fine, the characters look improved over Morrowind, but still not quite as impressive as the rest of the game.

The 2 day video is combat combat combat! The scenery in these shots looks nice but not spectacular. However the attention is clearly on combat with a variety of weapons and shields for blocking. Not much else to say other than combat looks good

edit: because some people might get the wrong idea by the term 'minotaur loving'...

Have to admit, the combat was really simple. It was much more fun mixing it up with a few spells, but armed combat couldn't be easier. I don't think this is a negative as I still enjoyed it.
