I find Football Management sims awkward with a controller. I think you're right about the interface needing to be fantastic, otherwise it will be so awkward to navigate.

It was due to the lack of a hard drive to store the huuuuge database apparently, not due to having no mouse.

It was always possible, they just couldnt be arsed
