So.. we might actually be able to buy one when they're actually released, instead of just watching lots of sold out signs and 'you can buy it for a grand on ebay' instead? Yay
What he really means to say is Japan is his target audience and the rest of the world exists to finance Nintendo. The North American market, while smaller per capita, is larger overall than any other market; yet, console makers treat it as a secondary market.
I shouldn't complain. Getting the consoles second means we have less bugs than the Japanese. Europeans have less bugs than us. Good things come to those who wait [trite]. I'll buy it anyway.
