This is good news . Gonna get this installed.

You've linked to the "English (US)" drivers
I hate "English (US)". There's no such bloody thing. It's our language, use it!

I don't mind apps that provide U.S. English and U.K. English versions. They are, after all, different languages. It does niggle me though when apps that are localised for all sorts of languages, but then only cater for the U.S. flavour of English.

Not as much as when my kids start using American(ish) words though. I'd rather they end up sounding Norfolk

i find it rather ironic they screwed up and released card killing drivers right as they push for Fermi.

if they actually launched on time i'd call it killer marketing (/me ducks slap)

but... I'll just call it poor QC.

Re: News - NVIDIA rolls out new GeForce drivers, fixes overheating issues

Rather pathetically, they're still not back to where they need to be - the faulty drivers were fully WHQL "release" editions, whereas these are betas. Sure, they probably work OK, but for those of us trying to keep things stable and/or supply customers with systems, it's just not good enough. Sorry to sound like a whinge-bag, but Nvidia still have some way to go to restore the credibility/favour they lost over this.

Maybe it was a secret ploy to push more sales, people end up burning out their high end cards and thus they have to adopt to the new Fermi ones

Re: News - NVIDIA rolls out new GeForce drivers, fixes overheating issues

Much as it pisses me off to go onto a UK site and be bombarded by US news or competitions only available to the US residents. (Toms Hardware is the biggest perpetrator of this crime atm), you actually waste time by downloading the 'UK' specific driver as the US ones work perfectly well on UK windows (xp at least) and are about 100mb smaller (granted I downloaded 100mb in less than a minute there but for people with poor connections or bad isps throttling their speed this is important). This is because the international drivers contain all the language installers which is silly but there you go.

So just get the US ones. Not sure if Hexus knows this but they can pretend now and appear smug

Re: News - NVIDIA rolls out new GeForce drivers, fixes overheating issues

My brother just asked if some words would have American spellings in the US drivers. And they do it's 'color correction', etc. Any UK language users confirm it has the proper spelling?
