    ATI Catalyst 6.4

    Yup, it's here.
It's April, and that means episode four of the Catalyst story for the year. In this release comes a video conversion utility for MCE, video quality improvements, performance improvements and a phat bugfix list.

they really are focusing on getting CCC sorted out more, and man, all those obscure '0.01% of the market' fixes.. they run out of other bugs to fix?

Seems like a few people are having a few oddities with this one; I have a corrupted xp intro screen and when installed got a few black screens followed by a 'windows has recovered from a serious error' message.

Games seem fine so far though.

Its totally screwed up my available screen resolutions and colour palette. I have a widescreen monitor and could easily run at 1280x768 at 32bit with my previous drivers on an X600.
Now I dont even have it as an option and have to go into the ATI control panel and force the resolution but can only get 16 bit colours. Think I'll be using driver rollback!!

no this driver doesn't include the chuck patch, chuck patch is normal cat 6.3's with his optimisations in. Best to just install Chcuk's patch tbh

I decided to reinstall these drivers but this time I had installed CCC (from the Cat 6.4 version) first and set up all my overclocks etc. followed by installation of the drivers and WDM (AVIVO etc.) and I have no problems what so ever. Hope this is helpful info to all those skeptics out there
