    Compro releases DVB-S tuner with video capture

    The card can capture digital satallite television using the DVB-S standard, supporting up to 1080i HDTV from broadcasts. Also included on the card are analogue inputs in the form of composite, audio and s-video, to allow the capture and recording of A/V from analogue sources.

    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    Any idea on pricing?

    It does look quite restrictive though. No onboard CAM (Conditional Accesws Module) slot and going by the size of it (and lack of CAM) i'd guess it is a 'budget' as opposed to 'fully featured' card. THis would probably mean that it only accepts high level control commands, making it incompatible with MythTV at the moment, although work is being do to support these cards, specifically the TwinhanDTV Sat cards (http://www.twinhan.com/product_satellite.asp)

    Would be good if the UK realised there is more to satelite TV than just Sky. Personally FreeSat and a Cannal+ subscription card would be great
