    CTS - 2006 :: Hela's remarkable freebie

    Over the years, Bob Crabtree has collected more useless freebies from exhibition press packs than he can recall. But, at CTS this week, he seems to have struck gold, taking home a product he can actually write a story about.

    On the downside, as seems inevitably the case, this freebie is still something that's destined to be given away - or thrown away if no one will take it.
    Find out more in this tongue-in-cheek CTS report and let us know about any "great" freebies you might have scored.

    at least they state the current requirements on the packaging, more USB devices need to do that imo!

    best freebie i had was a pen, which was biodegrable, only i got this like 10 years ago, put it in a draw and it bio-degraded over everyhting else

    3dfx used to give out the usual stuff at shows, t-shirts mouse mats and the like. At one show with a load of Playboy Bunnys at their stand they apparently gave out 3dfx branded condoms.

    Best freebies I like are the pendrives some suppliers etc give away.

    Ultra handy for small presents, especially when you get reminded 10 minutes before going to the pub that it's <insert name> birthday

    Indeed, they're the sort of freebies I like, too, but I've never had a pendrive in a press pack - just pens.
