    Genuine and unmodified Microsoft Xbox products provide gamers with the reliability, security, support and dynamic gaming experience that they expect.
    Lol, so it overheats? I guess that does lead to quite a dynamic experience, if not a reliable one.

    It's a bit of a rubbish response really. 'Don't play pirated games as you won't get tech support'. How many people really need tech support on their games?

    Hmm...

    a few points I'll add to this discussion ;

    1) My Brother has had 2 xboxes since he got his. They have all suffered from the crashing and overheating bug. Each time MS have replaced it with one they say should not be affected but it has been.

    2) Security ? A few months ago when you logged into the Xbox live system you could clearly see all the card information inserted for the live service or to buy additional content, with no masking at all.

    which could allow people to play illegally copied and modified games
    Urghh. How could MS get something so basic wrong? You can not modify the game at all- no region change, no game file change, no texture changes, nothing. If you did this, it will break the digital signature and the game will not run.

    "Yeah, well done chaps. Nearly there, eh?" would have been nice.

    This looks like it's targetted at the average ignorant american mother, who is bombarded with adverts warning about the dangers of 'internet security' and might think 'The X-Box has been hacked! Now it's not safe to buy for the kids!'.

    Got it in one. Its to scare the non-tech oriented parents. Anyone else has the common sense not to believe it.
