Boston launches servers for latest Xeons

Core is coming to the Xeon range, and Boston are ready for it.

From Boston, come a number of servers implementing new motherboards and chassis from server-board manufacturer Supermicro. They're designed for the latest and up-coming Intel Xeon dual-core processors: 5000 Dempsey and 5100 Woodcrest. Complementing the new processors is a 1333MHz front-side bus clock, which should help I/O operations along and also provide more bandwidth for fully buffered (FB-) DIMMs.

Well, I can't see anyone going mad for Dempsey, but Woodcrest's a whole other matter. High performance for low power and low heat output makes for very healthy server racks.
