    What's in the box?

OK then... try your hand at this one:

Hmmm, maybe you need some more clues.

    1. You won't have seen this anywhere else yet.
    2. It's not launched until Computex.
    3. Don't get too excited though, it's not completely new tech.
    4. Here's another pic, for luck, with more to follow. if you behave...

    oooo.. im a good boy..

Seems to be some sort of passively cooled graphics card..

Cant make out from the above picture really.. Possibly from Nvidia, as I think the PCB is green..

    I might be totally off...

Guess at something like a gigabyte silent pipe gfx card, maybe a 7900gt or something.

The top part looks round which makes me think it might have a fan as well. Looks to be a VGA connector at the left so it can't be that high end.

Hmm it is a bit odd to have a rount passive sink, but it could be for looks.

The amount of copper puts me in mind of my leadtek 6800gt, so maybe it's a one slot (just) version of something like a 7900gtx.

lol.. this is the best guess yet..

well, What I dont get is why the passive sinks are on both sides of the PCB.. hmn.. possibly routed across by some heatpipe of some sort..

I'm giving a wild WILD guess.. Gigabyte 7900GT Ultimate Edition..

LHS of pic appears to be backplate, and doesn't seem to have VGA/DVI connectors on it...
Near side of pic looks like AGP/PCIx conector.

I can only think it's some kind of physics accelerator - are Nvidia getting into this space...

(either that or ASRock are doing their add-in cards for P4s now, and need all that metal to keep them cool )

You can see the heatpipes if you look through the middle (out of focus), and you can see the 4 holes for the pipes (2 top in the middle, 2 below more to the sides).

Ciratinly looks like some kind of passivly cooled card, but I couldn't tell you which one
I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.

It might be a Physics card possibly. I have no idea and I've googled It too.

Dont think its a 7950GX2 cos spec for them is 1GB RAM, and I see no RAM chips on the back of the card, they cant all be on the front surely! Also notice the thick foam pad between the card and the copper heatsink, while theyre used on X1900XT/X RAM chips I doubt it would be used on a GPU, looks like its more to stop the heatsink contacting the card. That said the GX2 will be launched at computex, hmmmmmmmmmmm................................

Rule 3 says 'Don't get too excited though, it's not completely new tech'. I think that rules out a physics card or the GX2. I'll go with a silent 7900GTX. Id have thought a silent 7900GT wouldnt require such a big heatsink given the size of its stock active one.
