    Apple intros MKII special-edition U2 iPod

    Apple today made available a new version of its special-edition U2 iPod. The 30GB, all-black, video-capable newcomer (£239) has a stainless steel body and a red control wheel, plus engraved signatures on its back of U2 band members.

    More in this HEXUS.headline.

    Oh, and don't miss out on meeting the challenge we've put up over there!

    thats what i was thinking. In fact is was released at the same time as How To Dismantle An Attomic Bomb. Didn't it also come either pre-loaded with the album or with a voucher for the album from iTunes.

    Just read the press release a little closer. Looks like instead of the album you are getting a 30 minute music video instead and it is a video iPod rather than a regular one.

    so i guess it's new, just not very exciting

    Confusion might have been saved if I had included - originally - in the headline and the opening paras the fact that this is a new version.

    These things have since been added.

    Solly!

    Urgh, the original U2 iPod was a tacky promo; why on Earth do they feel the need to continue it into the next generation?

    Well, it's got a black back, which is cool. Hopefully the next release of the iPod will have a black option with this black metal included.

    Used to think the band were OK, until they tried this crap on... and now they're trying it AGAIN!
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    yeuch, now we have a real black iPod available there's no need to pay more and get an awful mismatched red clickwheel and the scrawlings of some overrated half-wits on the back.
