Duke Nukem Forever is finally on the horizon

Could it be..5 years after the official trailer? This is the best and most accurate rumour for some time.

Check out the Headline for more info.

5 years? Thought they announced it in 1997? If I remember correctly they announced it on April 1st 1997 hence the ongoing joke, also the Name Dike Nukem Forever, as in taking forever to get done and DNF (Did Not Finish) Looking at the early footage of Prey, I would imagine they would hammer the Doom 3 engine some more for DNF. This is turning out to be the worlds longest hyped game. I remember an Issue of PC Zone saying its almost here, that was years back to xD

I've lost count of how many previews and such like I've seen for this. Can't imagine what they've been doing with it for this long...probably just sitting around on a hard drive somewhere.

Hope they do finish it, Duke3D had some great moments in it.

The previews they were showing years back were on the quake 3 engine so god knows what they have done with it since, the rumours will point to the Doom 3 engine as Prey is running the same. I think hexus themselves got to preview Prey a while back.

Yep , your right, what I meant to say was 5 years since any more news! Amended cheers!

I think the difference this time is that there appears to be some hard evidence - however don't hold your breath!

Whoever came up with calling it 'Duke Nukem Forever' deserves an award for their uncanny if unintentional insight into it's development!

I'll believe it when I see it

This game has been 'almost complete' so many times in the past few years..I'd given up on it - still have really.

Stalker is getting the same way, last I read about that is its going to be 2007.

I think by the time it is finally released (Duke Nukem) quite alot of people will have lost interest in it or it will turn out to be another Daikatana and flop hopelessly.

Still remains to be seen if it will hit the shelves before christmas this year. Developers are becoming a bit bad with release dates on games, few months you can understand but years is over the top. In the film industry there is no time for major slipbacks on movie release. Only one that really comes to mind from the last few years is Gangs of New York which was mainly controversy due to the violence.
