    Sony trials vending machines

Sony chairman Howard Stringer clearly isn't impressed by the skills of in-store sales stuff.

Trade magazine TWICE reports that, in the USA, the company is testing out vending machines - much like those used for sandwiches and drinks - for flogging a variety of its smaller lines in airports and shopping centres.
    More in this HEXUS.headline.

They had better have some sort of cushion at the bottom for all of these fragile items!

Clearly you've never worked (or been behind the scenes) in an electical retailing outlet.

The sort of shock given to a product coming out of a vending machine is nothing compared to the shocking way that stuff can get treated along the way to being sold.

Where I work we do treat the goods with care but sometimes deliveries do get jacked into boxes. Typically though product packaging get damaged by customers and then returned...

But yeah, I know what you mean.

you'd be gutted if you made your selection then it got stuck fair enough i dont mind if a Kit Kat dosent come out but an MP3 player could be an issue, plus you can guarantee there will be no1 around who will take responsibility for it when it does happen
