Rumour has it that the UK based notebook manufacturer rockdirect is planning to launch a performance notebook based around the next generation Intel Desktop part. Unlike the old Pentium 4 - heat isn't so much of an issue, with the Conroe processor being roughly half the TDP of its predecessor.

Nonsense. Whilst I can not say we will never offer a notebook based on conroe, we are working hard to accommodate a high powered graphics card or cards which has driven us down the route of using the lower powered CPU's.

I can assure you the first Core 2 Duo notebook you see from us will be based on a Mobile processor Smile
