Netac adds 'world's smallest USB flash disk with built-in security'

Netac says that its OnlyDisk U220 is the world's smallest USB flash disk with built-in security. The unit measures 5.5(d) x 13.5(w) x 53(h)mm and is now on sale in five versions at VAT-inclusive prices between £13.99 (128MB) and £49.99 (2GB).

Underscoring the U220's small size, the company points out that the depth is "almost the same" as a USB connector.

I bought something similar for £4 from ebuyer with a little keychain string. It's actually reall handy being that small, it's not annoying on my keyring. Previous thumb-drive models weren't even considered small enough to go on there.

But I don't like Sony's solution... a little plastic bubble that'll pop open anywhere and there goes all your work.

    USB1.1 speed

USB1.1 speed is 900kb/s for read and 700kb/s for write. Most of the cheap USB disks in the market are USB1.1 specification, with USB2.0 compatible -- which means you can use it in USB2.0 PCs -- misleading the customers as USB2.0...
