    Three for you

Pipelines are good, in that you get to see what's coming soon on HEXUS. However, they're also bad, in that it means I've got more work to do

Three new products landed in Kez's corner of HEXUS-towers today (the sub-dungeon) and here they are, in all their obscuredness, for you to eye up.

    1)

    2)

    3)

So, what are number 1 and 2 and what does number 3 hook up to? Answers on a postcard, or just reply to this thread, I'm not bothered.

3 looks like a SATA power supply and data cable in one so I assume is some external SATA drive thingy... Perhaps it plugs into number 1 which is some form of External SATA Raid enclosure... I'm bored at work, time to hit google and get these.

    That's 1 and 2 sorted.

ca197 is on the right-ish track with number 3. However, it's the other end of the cable that plugs into the aforementioned enclosure. The end in the picture carries no SATA power.

I guess if there is no power then its a 4xSATA data connector at the back of the 5xSATA drive bay thingy (that seems strange but there are only 4 wires).

People start to get the picture. But what's it connected to?

The kneebone, the kneebones connected to the thigh bone etc. etc. Frankly, as you can tell I have no idea but this was getting too esoteric, and I'm at home and bored!
