Apple to announce iPhone today?

Likely announcements include the immediate availability of a selection of top-end Macs using various versions of Intel Core 2 Duo CPUs and, so the rumour-mill says, an Apple mobile phone - the iPhone.

Apple Mac Pro shows solution to Intel's memory-cooling problem
The one product that was introduced, though, the Mac Pro, has dual Xeons and looks like it might have done Intel a favour by showing it is possible to keep FB-DIMMs cool without a whole lot of stupidly noisy fans.
At least, that's our assumption, cos it can take 16GB's worth of those DIMMs!
