GDDR4!! OMG! DDR3 hasn’t been out that long. Wow it just goes to show that the world of PC technology will always be one step ahead of the console market. It’s always satisfying to know that when new consoles are in development and everybody is raving on about how powerful they are going to be; PC's will always (eventually) win. It’s just a shame PC’s cost more than George Bush’s elocution lessons.

ATI said before their takeover that it could take on a 7950GX2 quite happily... memory at 2ghz using gddr4... should be entertaining.

Yay for a horrible cheap tacky sticker on the cooler - I prefered the proper 'X'

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

A couple of sites seem to have broken NDAs.

The vr-zone version looks much better.

EDIT: looks like the X1950 monsters the GX2 at everything as soon as you hit the higher resolutions. Anyone wanna buy an arm and a leg?

The hardware zone used a weaker CPU (FX-55). However it showed much weaker gains over the X1900XTX and according to that review it wasn't enough to dethrone nVIDIA's 7950GX2. Personally I'm just going to wait till the actual NDA's expire.

i think that x1950xtx will beat the 7950gx2. by the way i own a 7950gx2 and a x1900 and can tell you that the x1900 has a better image quality than 7950gx2. i will buy the x1950xtx and crossfire with my core 2 duo upgrade. the problem with ati is always has been the driver. id take the forceware over the catalyst any day.
