BBC GCSE revision site 'used by 70% of all candidates'

The BBC claims that in the lead up to this summer's exams, its GCSE revision site, Bitesize revision, netted 2.6 million swats in May alone - half a million more than in the same month last year. Total page impressions for May 2006 are said to have been 120 million - more than double the figure for 2005.

According to Liz Cleaver, Auntie's controller learning and interactive, 70 per cent of all GCSE students used the site - though we kind of suspect that "visited" might be a slightly more accurate description.

    That's impressive figures, definitely.

I sure used it and found it a useful resource for certain subject areas... but certainly couldn't get all my information/knowledge from it. But I definitely used it and gained from it in some way.

I have to say that the Bitesize revision site this year was a vast improvement in what they provided last year... I would also say it is miles better than a similar site/system called Sam Learning which my School had paid for!
