    While their competitors figure out ways to benefit from any disruption that may be caused by the AMD/ATI merger, the two newly weds are moving forward with plans for a new notebook platform.

    I'm not sure this is the best place for AMD to be putting its energy. It's never had very much luck in the laptop sector, but has a wonderful on-die architecutre that the need to improve a few months ago. Platforms are ticky marketing things and AMD has allways been much better at engineering than marketing, though who knows, maybe ATI can help them there.

    According to the almighty google, yes. AMD must be trying to get some traction in the mobile market .
