I wonder if the price will drop at all just after christmas? I dunno what i was expecting really but up until now I was ready to run out and get one on launch, but now... hmmm may have to wait a while!
God that seemed like one long wait for them to get to that part of the conference, but we have the news at last.
£179.99 is more than I had hoped, I'm still aiming to pick one up for Christmas though.
Difficult decision. May have to see when I get a new job if it pays more!

But that's ok, because I wouldn't have minded if they'd released later, so I'll just pretend they're going to and buy it when the price comes down ;)

I agree Steven, I find the price a little too close to the 360.
The 360 Core is now £199 if I'm not mistaken, so there's really not much between them.
Come Christmas and some potential new 360 bundles, it could make it a very close match in terms of price.

Game aren't accepting pre-orders will next week - well that's what they've told me.
£180 with no Wii Sports is a BIG disappointment. The price-hike over the US just leaves a bad enough taste to dampen any enthusiasm I had for it.
Steven, I've just read your headline mate and I think there may be a mistake.
My understanding from the conference was that the European bundle would include Wii Sports.
Yowch - that's more than a tad steeper than I hoped. I'd budgeted for up to £150 (based on a $250 price in Japan...), but £180 is more than I'm willing to pay, especially since it doesn't look like (I only skim-read the article, but...) that comes with any games.
