Can't help but think that looks like 2 chips soldered together... What an ugly CPU . (I'd still want one however ;D)

To pieces of silicon glued to the same package. Is that really quad core, or just dual dual core?

It's 2 Conroes sharing the same FSB, I think. AMD's quad implementation will be more sophisticated, but isn't due for over 6 months.

It's just like the old P4 "dual-core" chips innit? Two P4s glued onto the same bit of plastic.

Intel will also have a 'true' quad core chip in due course.

Only the 900-series, the 800-series were single die processors.

    it's coming out this november.
It'll tell us what a quad core cpu can do to your computer.

I think this fake quad core is not as good as the future real one. It's just like the Pentium D. But the conroe is much better than pentium.
