superclocked? i think "The new EVGA 7950GX2 slightlyclocked" is more like it!
7950gx2 is powerful enough, i don't think superclock is neccesory.
Unless you want to break the 3dmark scrore.
Ok, i just read the news. It's not the 7950gx2, it's 7950gt.
What is the point by buying a graphic card has a G71 gpu with lower clock than msi7900gto. 7900gto is much more powerful and scan has a promotion on it for only £173 in VAT.
If you know how to flash graphic card bios, you can have a 7900gtx at a 7900gto price. Bio flashing will void your warranty. But if you search the web, and learn enough, you'll be able to do it like piece of cake.
I reckon its just Nvidia's way of shifting all the cores that were returned with the faulty memory. Stick some new memory on there, change the name a little bit, make them a little bit cheaper and voila. I'm known to be slightly cynical though![]()
Even you said nvidia replace the memory for the 7900gto from a faulty card.
It Maybe true, but you pay a 7950gt price for a 7900gtx performance.
Is that worth it or not?
I would say they're trying to clear out some G71 gpus, and make some space for their new next gen high-end G8X gpu.
Whatever the reason, we're getting damn fast cards for £170![]()
