    Panasonic pitches 'safe' lithium-ion laptop battery

    Burnin' down the house... or rather, hopefully not!
    Panasonic parent Matsu****a today announced what it claims is a "safe" lithium-ion rechargeable battery. The secret: inserting a layer of heat-resistant insulating material to prevent fire-starting internal short-circuits of the kind that ignited a number of notebooks this year.

    Edit: LOLz at the HEXUS.unsweareriser... Matsu****a FTW.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    Good someone is working on non-explosive batteries. My guess is that they will sell well courtesy of the Sony fiasco (I should specify, the battery fiasco).
