G80 Roundup!
-
I want to get my hand on the g80, but the price is so damn high.
And it's definately faster than any other graphic card on the market.
even faster than 2 ati x1950xtx crossfire.
G80 is a good card, but not a good time to buy it due to the delay of windows vista and vista games. I really want to see what vista games look like by using the g80.

"Before even getting the XFX into your PC, the first thing you will notice is just how close it is in size to an elephant."
 Lets hope its not a white one.

Other than the support for DX10 I do not think the price really justifies the performance. It is monstrous but is it really needed?
-
that's right, it's not the problem of my pc case, but my mother board.
My ide socket will be under my graphics card while i'm using the 7900gtx. so you can imagine if i want to use the 8800gtx monster, it i'll block 2 sata and 2 ide socket on my motherboard. I guess i'll have to change motherboard now.

The performance of the 8800GTX is pretty impressive. And then, of course, you could run it SLi. Although you'd probably need a pretty fast processor to take advantage of that sort of clout. Would a Core 2 X6800 even be fast enough?
It is big, 10.5 inches long, to be exact. There are probably quite a few cases you'd have trouble fitting one (or two!) of those in.
I wouldn't put my money down until ATi's R600 comes along, when the G80 has some competition. It'll also be interesting to see what sort of benefits DX10 will bring to the party.

Some 8800gts has dropped their price, so i'll be able to put my hand on one.
The performance is pretty impressive, but my cpu isn't good enough for one. I only get about 7000 scores in 3dmark 06.
Online, most people get about 10000.
