    will people be able to use the x-sata to increase storage space (i.e. move stuff to their pc for safe keeping?)

    they do - its called xbox live

    they've already said that if you buy a tv episode for example then delete it you can re download it.

    Why would you need another 360 steve ?
    Simply buying another HD would suffice - this is the point i think they are trying to make.

    If you could transfer the movie to your PC via Media Connect or something that would be cool, because you could then just stream it using Media connect back to the 360.

    When you think about it, it doesn't make much sense to force the user to store all the TV they can buy locally. Its just i don't think our broadband network infustructure is there yet?
