    AMD rolls out Stream Processor

    It was in August that those good looking chaps over at Beyond3D spotted that ATI seemed to be working on dedicated GPGPU products. Now those products make an appearance, as part of AMD's processor line-up.

    Ah, for the Golden Age of Steam! Very retro, but a bit bulky and you'll have to make sure the boiler's topped up every day.

    Oh, wait, it's Stream Processor, nvm.

    Yeah, stream power is even older than steam power. Need a big waterwheel for it to work though - perhaps we were just mistaking them for fans..
