Hong Kong, October 24th of 2006 - Lik-Sang.com, the popular gaming retailer from Hong Kong, has today announced that it is forced to close down due to multiple legal actions brought against it by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Limited and Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. Sony claimed that Lik-Sang infringed its trade marks, copyright and registered design rights by selling Sony PSP consoles from Asia to European customers, and have recently obtained a judgment in the High Court of London (England) rendering Lik-Sang's sales of PSP consoles unlawful.

Pretty sad. I've bought stuff from them on multiple occasions and they've been great.

Now that's one less option for gamers to choose from.

I was thinking about ordering some JP DS games from Lik-Sang this morning, but I guess I'll have to go elsewhere now.

I noted that there is a huge outcry/Sony backlash on the old t'internet over this.... Not surprising really considering Sonys tatics to put Lik-Sang.com out of business (ie post legal action in pretty much every EU state and fiscally bleed Lik-Sang out of the game).

The thing i cant understand about this episode is why do Sony care so much who is playing on these PSP's/PS3's so much surely if they sell all X amount of consoles it shouldnt matter who owns them ?

I've stopped buying Sony stuff - about a year ago I started just didn't like where they were going with the price and quality, problem is Samsung and the likes produce better, lower priced stuff and tend to understand that consumers aren't the ones you should upset.....

A lot of people always slate MS product, but I believe they release much better quality product than Sony.

I bought the PS1 original... thats the last thing I will ever buy... unless they release something uber leet.
