This brings us back to the resent thread in the general games section, I hope this doesn't work because at the moment its nice to know everyone is using the same controls and the people that do get these will have a large advantage over controller users. You will find more and more people getting them becuase they are tired of being owned
I have a console so I can get away from the computer and desk and sit back in the living room

That's terribly selfish of you. What's wrong with creating a better gaming experience for some people? It's not like anyone is cheating by turning off textures or something. This is an input method that some people will find more accessible and enjoyable, and there's nothing stopping you doing the same - next thing you'll be suggesting we ban people from using steering wheels in car games or something
And how would this stop you from being able to do that?I have a console so I can get away from the computer and desk and sit back in the living room
Agree with you 100%
Its far better that we are all on a level playing field imo.
I have no problem using either control method due to having played loads of console and pc games but the last thing we need is some 13yr old knobber typing in L0L5 n00b 1 0wnz0r3d j00 every 5 minutes
I can see why people feel the need for keyboard and mouse for games like halo, I used to be one of those people, but I gave the controler a chance and now I love it.
A part of a consoles characteristics are the handheld controlers, give it a keyboard and mouse and it becomes a cheap, limited PC.
The fact that you need to sit at a desk to use a keyboard and mouse comfortably, like a computer desk perhaps?
I fail to see how a keyboard and/or mouse make that distinction.
Todays consoles are nothing but restricted PCs, so you might as well add a keyboard and mouse and do away with the clumsy controllers....
I think Nintendo have done the right thing, now waiting on Sony and MS to copy them........

Could be compared with macro ing etc on the PC. Gives the person using it an unfair advantage.
I believe like many have said, that everyone should be in the same situation. Some people having a keyboard will give them a huge advantage over those who don't and then the game becomes less about skill and tactics but what you are using to play the game.

All of a sudden a noob will eb able to defeat a pro just because he has a keyboard and mouse, unfair perhaps... but it's been waiting to happen for so damned long!!
