MS have said that if they think the demand for a DVI or HDMI cable is there, they will make one. Most HD sets have quite a few different input options and as said above it will be a long while before HDCP is activated on discs (and by then it will probably be cracked wide open) so I cant see there being a huge demand for those cables just yet.

Especially when most sets will only have one DVI or HDMI socket and these will be taken up by HD cable/Sky boxes or other devices.

And Parcel Farce have a habit of eating things.

Does anyone know where this HD-DVD drive is actually in stock? I can't find one anywhere.

I'm in the same boat as you Tom, can't find one anywhere. I've given up looking now, I'll just wait until the online retailers have stock and then I'll just order online.

As far as I'm aware there are still a lot of people who pre-ordered a while back and still haven't recieved one.

Tom, apparantly quite a few Blockbuster stores have had a few in, quite a few have picked one up today.

Find your local store here: http://www.blockbuster.co.uk/Stores/storelocator.aspx

Might be worth giving them a call, they might have one or two that you could reserve. Good luck!

Just rung 3, they asked me "they're out now?", I guess Leicester is part of the BlockBuster non-communication zone.

Admittedly one of them is built into a McDonalds so I guess i shouldn't expect too much from the staff.

Market Harb.... oh the cheeky gits, giving the stock to those southern pansies (its 3 miles south of Leicester).

I still can't find one, I was hoping that as it's a Monday there'd be new stock in shops but there doesn't seem to be anything anywhere.
