Xbox 360 HD-DVD in the shops

I ordered from Play.com whilst it was in stock but how do I know if I got it and when it's likely to get here?

Their website sure doesn't offer much info, all it says is 'Order Taken'. When ordering it didn't give me any option to specify a delivery method, which is a shame as I'd like to have had the opportunity to pay extra and have it delivered tomorrow in time for Christmas.

lol i hear about hd-dvd but never much about blu-ray.

i know blu-ray holds a lot more but does this mean hd-dvd has already won??

there again i suppose everyone is going to tell me its too early to say anything though it just seems to me that hd-dvd will do it, just because if anything, for the typical stupid no idea on technology consumer hd-dvd just sounds more familiar than 'blu-ray' i hope u get what i mean there ??

I don't think either of them will 'win' as such, I think they'll both become losers as the market isn't yet big enough. So few people have HD screens and the need for an upgrade from DVD just isn't there in my opinion.

I think they'll both end up being like Laser Disc, something only really for the enthusiasts. I'm picking up the HD-DVD addon for the 360 as for £130 it's pretty much a bargain not to be missed, I may as well make use of my HD screen.

Parm don't worry about delivery. All electronic items over £75 from play get shipped with next day delivery using Parcel Force. As for when you get it, just hope

I phoned Play.com to ask about it, they advised that they had sold out again and my order was backlogged so I'll get it on the next shipment. Needless to say, I cancelled after I hung up the phone.

I finally got mine, bought it off someone else who pre-ordered two.

I just pre-ordered one on Scan's website as it shows 'due later today'!

It doesn't mention anything about the Remote and King Kong so I phoned them and spoke to Paul, very helpful guy. He advised that the bundle thing is for a limited time and until they recieve their stock later today they won't know if they are the bundles or just the drives so can't advise yet.

He did say that I'd be able to cancel my pre-order if it turned out not to be the bundle.
