*mutters* It's like just talking about a car's top speed and not it's acceleration.
Far more important to me would be a response time test, but oh well - top marks for effort :p
Cracking test !
I have heard loads of gamers complaining about 'skips' when playing with some of the latest mice in stiff competition...
...and the graphs in this test tell the tail (pun intended)
Also backs up the annecdotal stories about '...that cracking Logitech mouse from 2003' etc
Hardcore metrics for something as crucial to the human-machine-interface is a great step
:woowoo:
they seem to slightly rinse the G5, although ive had a mx700 mx510 and mx518 and the G5 is in a different league. And i do play semi pro, so i have had quite alot of experience in stiff competition
Think the test was a bit lame tbh
Good idea, though theres a lot more to buying a mouse than that, I love my MX1000 purely for having 2 weapon keys under my thumb for example, will make a nice addition to reviews I guess.
Notice the logitech perform well across the board as usual, shame theres no MX1000 as thats what I have to compare.
^^ That's what I was thinking. I use an MX 1000 and love it, I've also got the bluetooth mouse from the De novo keyboard combo, which I hate (the mouse that is, the keyboard is great) and 2 (wired) MS Explorers' (v1 and v3) which I've always found to be good back-ups.
The review concentrates on wired mice (at least i don't think I saw any w/l versions) and I know some gamers think w/l introduces lag, so I would like to see a few benchies to validate that.
I would also like to know what program was used to overclock the USB port.
Other than that seems a really solid idea.
wernt they clocked at 500hz, cuase i think the g5 runs at 500 at standard as so the razors. I can understand why the G7 wasnt tested as its exactly the same mouse at the G5 bar the wire, which from experience has no lag. although when using my bros mx1000 i notice a big delay in the response time, on desktop and in game. This maybe a fualt with his but it was very disappointing
