    Gran Turismo HD Concept Demo

You lucky PS3 owners can get access to one of the PS3's most hotly anticipated games, Gran Turismo HD, as a free download demo over the holiday period.

The demo has one track, two racing styles and a decent selection of cars... and it plays like a dream!

Check out this Headline for more info.

Is this the demo that people assumed was the full game with downloadable content?

    Aye, I reckon.

It took me about 20 minutes to unlock everything though it became much easier once ASM was switched off...

I still can't drift for toffee though...

lol HD this and HD that these days, a cunning ploy it seems to sucker the less technically knowledgeable. I've had HD for well over a decade .

Distinctly unimpressed by those screenshots. With people claiming the PS3 is 'just about graphics' it appears this preview dosn't even have that.

Last I heard, GT HD was canned and they're concentrating on GT5, which will be in HD but comes with around 30 cars and just two tracks.. you download the rest...

Can you say 'nickel and diming'?

Looks pretty nice to me. Great backgrounds with people looking like real people and nice looking cars.

I'll be interested to see this when I get to see it in the flesh

They seem to be overusing motion blur a bit in some of those pics. All the detail is gone apart from on the cars . Looks pretty good though.

Its pretty good actually, but unless they come up with GTR2 level driving physics.. you can only marvel at the graphics for so long IMO...

I hope the drifting mechanics isnt as watered down as Gran Turismo Concept. Turn off ASM and TCS, enter a turn, brake hard, turn, floor the gas and you drift..

what ever happened to, enter a turn, moderate braking, heel-toe down, turn moderately with LLB (with tapping for non-ABS older cars), feel the whiplash from traction loss, whip 1 wheel turn around, moderate gas with countersteer and exit....

Looks like SEGA GT on the XBOX. Or to put it another way, seen better graphics on the PC months ago.
