Nice idea, but not including a DBT-T tuner seems pretty stupid to me.
Its got component in? So this could be one way of plugging up a Wii to a computer monitor then? Does the tuner produce signals of 480p?Input-wise, there's analogue terrestrial/cable, s-video, component, stereo-audio and composite connections.
looks like a good idea im looking for somthing like this
this sounds exactly like the V550 that was touted but never released 6 months ago![]()
hopefully it will be released.
this would allow people to connect up a ps2, wii, sky box or digibox etc to the monitor.
it is a pity it doesnt have a freeview tuner built in though
I think the weakness of the standalone tuners in their inability to work any DVR functions, thus the video functions could be quite useful, but the tuner less so.
This sounds interesting - one question springs to mind - can I fix the output at 1600x1200 (the native res of my monitor) to avoid scaling?
I'd be quite tempted by a '360 with this box as I don't currently have a HDTV..
I would imagine, or rather hope, that the device upscales to whatever resolution you set. Given that all inputs are going to be less than 1600x1200 (and component will be the only one getting anywhere close to that) my guess is yes, you can set to 1600x1200 and leave it at that.
Quite how it'll handle scaling different aspect ratio inputs onto that is a different matter, however.
anyone seen this for sale?
If you're 360 gaming then get the VGA cable for it.
It might well be late, but that sentance doesn't seem to make much sense...Originally Posted by Steve(Article)
Anyhow, looks good, would be useful for the 19" CRT in my Room (already got a freeview box hooked up by an analogue tuner in the PC (using S-Video)) So I could eliminate the PC. Would be a bonus if its cheap aswell(cheap as in low price, rather than cheap & crappy)

Compro didn't get back to us about this.
However, Steve made contact with the company today.
From what he was told, it looks like it's not feasible to sell the product here in the UK because of the impending analogue switch off. Sounds like distributors aren't wanting to bother with it.
makes sense.
no dvb-t = stupid![]()
