I played the demo and found it really dull, so I gave my housemate a shot and after he had figured out all the buttons and bombed a few ships...he firmly agreed with me. I just never felt the atmosphere in the mulitplayer demo.

I've never played multi-player, but I had a lot of hope for it. It took me about an hour to get into. I played the tutorial to death and once I understood the game I thought it was brilliant. Shame if multi-player doesn't live up to single player.

It might be to do with the fact that there is only 4 people on each side(2 take control of battle ships and 2 for the planes), so there just isn't enough units to really get into the game. I presume on the single player the battlefield consists of more than say 4 ships/subs and 4 fighter squads?

Yeah, there are some pretty intense fight scenes.
