LOTR Beta Keys

The C&VG network has limited numbers of the beta keys for Lord Of The Rings online to giveaway to anyone unfortunate enough not to get one last time (me included! )

Be quick as they will be gone pretty quickly, simply register an account to get the key then follow what it says to get the client etc on the following page :

Beta opens tommorow morning at 10 am (Saturday 10th Feb) and runs till 10 pm as a stress test. After that keep an eye out for emails telling you when it is open.

My download keeps dropping out, going to look for another client to see if I can get it in 1 file instead of the 6 they have at CVG.

Guess I won't be able to use my beta key. Download keeps stopping and saying complete when it isn't. Set it going yesterday when I was at work from CVG and it stopped. Tried from Fileplanet last night when I got in from work and overnight and it stopped again at 2.25 Gb. I just can't seem to be able to download it and now seem to be running out of time

I am managing to pull the files down sucessfully now thankfully. Halfway through the 2nd big one and it is going fine. Must have been something to do with the server load the past few days. Quite bizarre I got a broken download from FilePlanet, it stopped at 2.25 Gb, so close but not enough!

Took ages to log onto the COG site and I managed to put my key in but it isn't showing as a sub at all on the account homepage. Think this is just because its a beta key, hopefully anyways.

Bit of luck I will be able to get on later today if all goes well!

Had all the files pumping down at 9mbps last night which finished in 37 minutes, that was just using the links on CVG... strange that some people had so many problems :/

Anyway, created my subscription on COG (Ferral, you should have received a "You have succesfully created a new subscription" email from COG if it worked properly. Just checked and I also have "LOTRO Beta" in my subscriptions, so you might want to give it another go.), installed the game and logged in fine. However, I've now been stuck trying to join the gameworld for the last hour... no great suprise I guess, it is a stress-test weekend after all.
