    Gainward Hollywood@Home 7.1

It's tempting to criticise it too much but I'll say this: as a method of adding good quality (although not audiophile level), multi-channel audio with a digital, optical output port to your PC, without going nuts and breaking the bank, the card has a market.

Decent features, nice and cheap, just don't expect sonic miracles.

Looks very good, been looking for a soundcard with an optical connection for a while now. Livedrives with creative cards are so expensive and don't really need all the extra connections. Good job Rys

The more recent driver set allows you to enable high sampling rates on the backstereo channels. It's believed that these two channels are the ones controlled by the CS4341 chip (WM8728 on Chaintech A7V10), where as the VT1616 controls the other six. Oh and nice review!
