With the price of the 48xx series falling daily, I think the 9800gtx+ will need to be priced around £130 to make an impact. Even then, most of the etailers have yet to reduce the price of the current model (9800gtx).

    Play spot-the-difference game
One has a purple capacitor, the other has a blue, and one has a barcode lable on, one doesn't.

    Yup, pretty much agree.

It's worth noting that the official RRP of the 9800 GTX+ is now $199, so we may see it on the UK shelves for, as you say, £129, including VAT.

    That'd be nice

Just a quick query about this bit at the end:

Shouldn't you add a disclaimer in there, because shipping isn't free if you have just read the article and then try and buy the card linked?

Re: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX+: bangin' on AMD's door

I may be wrong, but somehow I doubt that all NVIDIA chips support AMD UVD - full H.264 and VC-1 decode and all ATI chips have support for NVIDIA's PureVideo HD - full H.264 decode and partial VC-1 decode...

I think you're misreading me - I think it's great you have an offer for pro-active community members, but that's not got anything to do with the average joe who is reading reviews and then sees the Hexus one claiming a product is available to him cheaper than it actually is without him taking further action.

I would presume (and hope) that you have a vast readership outside of registered forum members, so your articles are written with them in mind.

I am not mis-reading you at all - I know what you are saying, we want people to become active members in our community out of it.

Ok cool - with the new sentance that's clearer, but before there was no clue that the two were linked - the only mention of the community was as a place to discuss the article
