Reviews - AMD brings full force of Phenom II to bear with AM3 chips

Personally I think that the Phenom II's are great for the price, but I agree with some of you guys in that DDR3 memory at the moment is a bit stupid because of its cost in comparison to DDR2. But like kalniel said, it's future proofing and soon DDR3 will be as cheap as DDR2... this is why I'm waiting to see how the new P2 955 performs in comparison to the 940 to see whether DDR3 makes any real difference outside of synthetic benchmarks. I dunno about you guys but I was a little taken aback when I saw the 720 BE beat the i7 920 in the gaming benchmark at 1680x1050 maybe a sign that the P2's will be better at higher resolutions...?
