http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst.aspx lists 9.2 as the most recently available. Got a link for 9.3?

Interesting article is the mid range test going to include the 4850? I wonder whether this 9.3 driver will fix the bizzare 8 GB RAM issue certain ATI cards have on both 32 and 64 bit windows.

I'm hoping to do a little benchmarking of my own soon (just finished preparing a prerelease 9.3 package for Ubuntu Intrepid).

I know it's still beta, but I thought everyone was saying how much faster W7 is than Vista? Or is that for non-gaming applications? It would be intersting to see how XP does in comparison as well (for Dx9 anyway).

interesting to see that the general trend shows windows 7 offers slight improvement over vista even with the first proper driver releases.

The speed people are mentioning is general snappiness of the OS. It doesn't give you more FPS... well save for a few optimisations here and there by the looks of it. The 20% NVIDIA increase in Company of Heroes is just odd, though I presume that's a driver anomaly rather than a W7 advantage - perhaps if the same driver could be used in each OS the result would have been closer.

Good showing from both camps it seems, particularly ATi's consistency, though given the comparatively teeny differences between Vista and W7 I guess that's expected.

To use those driver versions on 8.10, add "deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/directhex/ppa/ubuntu intrepid main" to Administration/Software Sources/Third Party

Well they are the first final W7 drivers.

Probably just the same fixes in the Vista notes (perhaps last couple of releases) - most of the fixes will be relevant.
