Set approximately 10 years after the events of the original BioShock, the halls of Rapture once again echo with sins of the past.

    Re: Reviews - Bioshock 2 - PC

IMO what they said in the review is pretty accurate. Whoever told you it was terrible is lying completely.

Admitadly the multiplayer is not particualy well refined at the moment (or it wasnt the last time i played it anyway) but other than that the game is very immersive and interesting throughout.

    Re: Reviews - Bioshock 2 - PC

It's not terrible but it's certainly not great, if you've played the first then you'll only be disappointed with the second. The Multiplayer is pretty lackluster, levels seem much alike and gameplay doesn't differ from the first 20 seconds of play. That said, I heard there's been alot of downloadable content promised so rather than rid myself of my copy of Bioshock 2 I'm letting it gather dust in hope of some improved single player content.

    Re: Reviews - Bioshock 2 - PC

yea i played the 1st one and so therefore i dont think i will like this one as the story and gameplay bugs are not good.

Toss in the fact that you got to pay to "unlock" content already on your disk takes the P of DLC to a whole new level

    Re: Reviews - Bioshock 2 - PC

I can't speak for the console versions but the only bug I encountered on the PC version was a sound issue similar to that found with the first game no doubt carried over because they use the same engine, even that was easily fixed with a bit of a fiddle in the control panel.

    Re: Reviews - Bioshock 2 - PC

I felt it was rather lame in comparison to the original game. Combat was *MEH* and even thou I finished the game a week or so ago I couldn't tell you what the story was, well apart from there were big sisters which where new.

As for DLC, sorry but I have already paid for the game, why should I pay more so they can add in a couple of extra maps and some bits of kit.... most of which is gonna be garbage.

The storyline was quite poor compared to the first although game play was much better i was dissapointed it only lasted 8 hours in total.

    Re: Reviews - Bioshock 2 - PC

The storyline with the twist is what really sold the first game to me. I loved the setting/ the whole art deco thingie. Other than that, the first was a good fps with a few quirks. If this isn't up to the original I'll leave it till it hits the bargain bins.

What I didn't like in the review was "Don't get me wrong It's not Modern Warfare 2 addictive but then very few games are". I have only played MW2 on the ps3 but it is definitely not addictive. More frustrating really. It's actually the only online game I have played on the ps3 (I use the pc mainly) and this is really annoying me. Looking for a host mid game, waiting a minute between rounds (not enough time to make a coffee but too much time wasted sitting there like a lemming doing nothing) not to mention lag issues. grrrrr. MW had it right on the pc. BFBC2 (on pc), even with its bugs/ random crashes is by far a better experience. Hooked on this atm.

ps anyone know why I don't receive mail when there is a response in a thread. I have selected immediate email notification as default.

Im playing Bioshock2 (PC) currently and it's ok, definitely not a touch on the first but just more of the same. That's fine of course. No crashes or problems thus far though of course its GFWL branded and thus comes with that little ball-ache.
What we share with everyone is glum, and dark...

I don't see how you could possibly play a game that many times did it not just feel like watching a film too many times?
Especially Bioshock, I couldn't even complete it once.. It was too boring and monotonous for me..
