Re: Reviews - Championship Manager 2010 - PC

I couldn't even be tempted to pay the £2.51p after the demo, such was the poor state of the match engine, the ghastly skin reminiscent of 01/02, and the lousy display on 1920x1200 resolution.

That said, I'll never know how this got released with bugs that include keepers standing behind(!) the goal line, every second shot being a chip or lob, and matches that go on for 160+ minutes or until you manually end the process.
I swear to drunk! I am not God!!

Re: Reviews - Championship Manager 2010 - PC

Hi all, new to the forums.

I would like to say that I have to disagree with you Indi. Firstly, the demo was probably pre Sept09 update which fixed many bugs. Which would explain why I haven't had any issues with it. And really if your basing your opinion/purchasing choices purely on a demo then I'd be amazed if you actually ever got round to buying any games!

The match engine, I agree with the reviewer in saying that I think its a massive improvement on previous iterations and could well rival that of FM. It runs beautifully smooth.

I'm 50/50 on the skin - i think its nice and slick but a bit heavy, a lot to take in, but displays perfectly fine on my 1920x1200 so i haven't got the foggiest where you got that from!

My criticism is really the nav - i think it's slightly clunky and would be nice if it had more "breadcrumb" pathway to follow. But thats just my opinion...

Not knocking your view on it which your obviously entitled to, but thought I would balance the perspective of it from someone who bought the finished article.

£2.51 for this version? Absolute steal. And this coming from someone who prefers FM as well...im converted!

i bought this everytime i try to run @ 1680x1050 it crashes to desktop

And it doesn't seem to matter wah t i do i cant score goals. i started as liverpool and built what i would have described as a sensational midfield/attack and won 8 games out of 31

I'm sure that's not a fault with the game
