Good review but the images are from Modern Warfare 1 not 2 xD
This is a very bist and worst review I ever read, how much money did hexus get paid for this?
There was nothing about the lack of dedicated servers or the other options and funtions that have been removed, no review on MP gameplay.
Joke right?Quote:
even beyond its feature-heavy online multiplayer component
Did they even play the game???
wth is with the images? that's just epic fail
Oops! Smacks of 'rush out a quick review' to me...
Odd review.
Huge focus on the short campaign and barely a couple of sentences covering multiplayer. That's despite the article implying that multiplayer is where the user would spend most of their time.Quote:

Why would it be rare to complete a short game in one sitting?Quote:
despite it only clocking in at around 5-6 hours worth of gameplay on normal difficulty, we found it to be one of those rare games that we just have to complete in one sitting.
Sorry Steven but where's the rest of the review?
Agreed with the lack of multiplayer information. It told me there were plenty of options for customisation but didn't give any examples, nor did it tell me why the reviewer thought they made it a valuable part of the game :(Quote:

But it is interesting they use the "xbox" version to review and not the PC version, through there is not much difference, since the PC version is a direct console port.
If I had the game I\'d write a proper review...
The game speaks for itself, but I do have a small gripe. There is no Cross when in TPM Third Player Mode which means you cannot see where you are shooting. I would like to see a Mod for this please because it's fricking hard to shoot when you cannot pin point where you are actually shooting.:surrender:
Hey, thought I'd explain a few things as I can see people are annoyed.
Awful error on my part. I stupidly used google images to search from Modern Warfare 2 screenshots as only a couple of shots, that had appeared on most sites, were sent out to the press. I should have double checked that they were actually from Modern Warfare 2. I'll be changing them asap.
This is a review of the Xbox 360 version, as stated at the beginning of the review. If I'd had the PC version I'd gladly review it, but the issue that PC gamers have with the game just doesn't apply to the Xbox 360 version, not in my experience. With respect, the majority of the Xbox 360 community couldn't care less about dedicated servers. It plays very smoothly online and they aren't fussed about having 32 players tearing it up.Quote:

We were actually one of the last big sites to write this review, because we wanted to finish the single player campaign and have some time in co-op and multiplayer.Quote:

Not making any excuses here Paul, but I'm now working just 2 days a week at HEXUS.gaming, so have had to shorten reviews as a result so I can write more content. You may or may not have noticed that Ive gone from writing in-depth 3,000 word reviews to short 2 page reviews with a summary of the game and overall impressions. Maybe I should write a separate review of the multiplayer though, which I'll be considering.Quote:

I didn't see any sign of the inflated price in shops. In fact, I know quite a few people who got it from Sainsbury's for approx £25.
What I was saying here is that I personally don't complete a game in one sitting unless it's really got me hooked. I'll maybe play a few hours, turn it off and come back to it the next day. In fact, there's very few games that I've completed from beginning to end in one evening or day.Quote:

I hope that answers a few of the questions. I appreciate that some people would have liked a more in-depth review and maybe it's a game that should have had that. But I feel I covered most bases and tried to summarise my feelings on the game, keeping it concise and to the point.
Metacritic, which collects some of the big gaming sites review scores, has given the game a high average score for the Xbox 360 version as have the majority of the users of the site. However, check the PC version and despite an 88% average score, users have given it 1.7/10.

It seems proof that it's the PC version that people have the issue with and not the Xbox 360 version.
If anyone does want to write a review and bang it over to me I'm more than happy to publish it, if it's suitable as a readers review latching onto the end of mine. Just let me know the version you're reviewing.
