THE speakers to have on a PC, IMO. Love that they bypass the horrible (at least on my MoBo) integrated audio. Of course, if you don't have a dedicated sound card. And I even like how everything looks clean - pity about the price, though.
I don't see this being a massive success tbh... just look at the price. Also I'm guessing most people who would consider spending this much on PC speakers would have an old amp & speakers lying around and, after seeing this, would just get the inspiration/urge to connect them up for a spin. (As I have )
True, although that's not a direct comparison - you'd still need a USB soundcard or some other form of DAC to get the same effect. And considering that a good DAC could easily set you back over £100 this set up doesn't look quite so steep after all.
Still wouldn't spend that much on PC sound personally, but just to be objective...

Or just get a different soundcard for £30-40. It maybe wont be quite as high quality as a proper DAC but the differences between it and a substandard onboard sound device will do enough to make a difference. Im still using the Auzentech i bought like 3 years ago although it doesnt do any DAC as it passes optical to my amp.
I've just ordered a set!
Hopefully they will be better than my Aego M's
