cpu bottlenecks in some games, this kind of power really needs an eyefinity review.

+1 - howabout a review @ 3600 x 1920 (3x24" portrait, spanned)? I believe eyefinity makes this possible, and it would represent a 16.8:9 aspect ratio (1.875:1) so one that's actually kind of useful for things other than mad gaming...

Throw Crysis out - as you see it doesn't scale anything like logically nor is it representative of other games so is of very dubious use in a comparison suite. Something like Far Cry 2 with its excellent suite of tools should be better.

We have just secured a three-monitor (5,760x1,080px) setup and will be testing various combinations tomorrow.

If anyone wants to see specific benchmarks, please let us know in this thread, and we'll do our best to accommodate them.

you should put your old monitor setup up as a competition, nice way to recycle and anyone who reads this site would probably do a lot of things for one.

I'd be interested in how Eyefinity performs with the 3 monitors in a vertical (3240x1920) setup, as well. Time permitting, of course. I've noticed that in the past, the performance of a rotated head isn't quite as good as 'native', which is curious from a machine pov. With eyefinity treating the displays as a single merged framebuffer with odd aspect ratios by default, it might/should produce some more favourable results.

Re: Reviews - Sapphire Radeon HD 5970 in two-card CrossFireX

I've got a screen resolution at 2560 x 1600. Since the crysis test failed at this res, does it mean that having 2 of these wont really make a difference for crysis?
