Hmm, I've always been quite a fan of EVGA cards, I'll be happy if they bring their SSC model to bear with the full 1,024MB memory. Clocks at around 850/4500 would be very very nice. Two of 'em in SLi... I think it'd be enough to bring me back over to the green team.

Great review, well this makes things very interesting, I would hope we could see a review in the near by future of how well these cards run in sli, just like you did with the hd 5770

Looks about right, still happy I got my 5850 at £197, but can see with normal prices this offers a decent card at about the right price.

You probably get inundated with requests for new benchies, but how about including some folding stats - Would that be possible please?

    Many thanks

Well prices are up on Scan.

    £152.12 for the 768Mb
£183.84 for the 1024Mb ....not bad!

Think I might actually be tempted to buy.

But what about a pair of these in SLI vs a 480GTX Game on! Cheaper, less power hungry?, and quieter?

no new card for me then, at least until the new gen nvidia or amd cards

almost £200 and it cannot even run games in higher resolutions properly

    btw,

3D Vision Surround helps combat ATI's Eyefinity
it should be among the cons, coz this card is far from capable to execute these features

Sound like surprisingly good cards! Nice to see nVidia competitive again; it can only benefit the consumer in the long run.

Nope, SLI is a hit and a miss. sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt but a single card solution "always" works straight out of the box. With sli, some games you dont even notice a performance increase while others is just a minor increase

Crikey, much cheaper than I expected on launch day

Think these could be a real win for NV - puts them solidly back in contention in the mid-range space and let's face it that's where the money is. If this design scales down well then they'll be laughing. Didn't think I'd ever be saying that about Fermi cards when we first saw the 480!

The Anandtech review includes SLI's 460s if anyone's interested:

EDIT: and at Tom's hardware - it looks like it scales well:

Well my question is why the hell didn't nVidia do this in the first place? This is a much better showing, and the fact that it OCs well, and comes somewhere between a 5850/5830 whilst not being a full-fat GF104 chip is rather promising to me, I shall be watching this line with interest.

Very good performance/£ ratio - I'm extremely tempted. I have a suspicion that this will be my A-Levels present from myself, to myself in a short while
