Re: Reviews - EVGA GeForce GTX 460 SuperClocked 768MB in SLI review
Do Hexus have any idea why the superclocked cards exibit near or better than perfect scaling in SLI - certainly in most cases better scaling than stock 1gb cards?
Seems like many of the benchmarks show significantly worse performance for a single card vs a 1gb card, yet the gap narrows when looking at SLI.
Re: Reviews - EVGA GeForce GTX 460 SuperClocked 768MB in SLI review
Hi,
It's not possible to infer that the two cards exhibit better-than-perfect SLI scaling because the single card in the line-up, the EVGA GeForce GTX 460 evaluated in the initial review, is clocked in at reference speeds.
The two SuperClocked cards run at a higher rate. Perhaps I need to emphasise this point a little more clearly in the system setup page. :)

Ah, sorry - didn't realise that. Perhaps add a (non-SC) to the chart description as well?
In which case, could you add single card results? I think stock vs superclock on a single card is probably at least as important a metric.

This one was more about 'how do you get the most out of a £350 gfx spend - pre-overclocked GTX 460 768 vs. standard-clocked GTX 1,024' We're rounding up a bunch of pre-overclocked GTX 460s, of which the EVGA SC is one, and activating the review later on in the week. But the numbers of a single-card SC will be added shortly.
Re: Reviews - EVGA GeForce GTX 460 SuperClocked 768MB in SLI review
I was looking at two of these, but still think that a 5870 1GB would suit me better, that said, I have always trusted nVidia over ATi when it comes to drivers. In the process of saving for my new build, so I'm just comparing all of my options. I reckon SLi 1GB cards would be nice, especially if EVGA can get some SSC versions of 'em out.

Well the same comparison for a single card is probably even more useful (how do you get the most out of a £175 gfx spend :p)

Cool, look forward to it :)

And that is exactly what you're going to see. :)

Wouldn't mind seeing how 2 460s Gainward GS GLH fair as they have quite a bump on stock speeds.
Re: Reviews - EVGA GeForce GTX 460 SuperClocked 768MB in SLI review
With all these new cards coming out it is easy for an old timer like me (I'm 37) to get confused with basic decisions like chipset, processor and hard drive configuration!
Is there any way that Hexus, with the all resources at it's disposal, could do some real-world gaming tests? My thought is averagely priced AMD vs Intel type scenarios, with ATI & NVidia cards in the mix?
AMD + Nvidia vs Intel + Nvidia
AMD + ATI vs Intel + Nvidia
AMD + Nvidia vs Intel + ATI
AMD + ATI vs Intel + ATI
Cheers for your time & great reviews as always!
