Post Point of View GeForce FX 5900XT

We've managed to score a UK exclusive review of Point of View's 5900XT. PoV are just entering the UK market, so keep an eye out for their boards at your favourite retailer soon.

With Point of View's card coming in at £130, along with the stylish presentation and good bundle that includes the excellent Call of Duty, it's hard not to recommend it. Your only initial problem will be with finding a stockist to sell you one, as Point of View find their feet in the U.K. Other Euro-zone buyers will have a much easier time of it.

Price is very good, the sample overclocked very well and the software bundle is good, especially if you haven't picked up Call of Duty yet.

Again, if you're shopping in the mid-range and you've got between £100 and £150 to spend, you could do a lot worse than throw it in PoV's direction.

Check it out in full, here.

A quick point about Matthew's response to the question about whether the sample was using NV38.

His response shouldn't imply that all 5900XT's will do 560 core. I just had a freak sample that clocked amazingly well, don't expect your own to do as well.

Most 5900XTs stop before 500MHz core.

Any chance of flashing it with a 5950 Ultra BIOS and seeing if it works with no artifacts ?
I know pretty much all but the lowest 5900XT's flash to 5950 ultras without even breaking a sweat (with only 128meg of RAM obviously)

it's not likely to be ours to do that with tho

However.....I'm sorely tempted to suggest that card to friends....it looks good good good

Glad to have a UK company in the market too
