Quick query about the virus protection on the CPU:Now, I may be wrong, but I thought that the memory was simply allocated as data memory, not executable code. It's still writable (ie not read only) but no CPU instructions can be run from within that memory area. This helps prevent buffer overflow exploits leading to execution of code from carefully contructed strings.Quote:

Yep, that's more or less it. Code cannot be executed. ROM is the wrong terminology, as it can still be written to.
