Deep of pocket and short on patience? This may be just the ticket.

To really test this you should use the Olympus OM-D E-M5 which is designed to work at maximum performance with UHS standard SDHC cards. The camera is nothing special with ordinary class 10 cards.

I agree pro cameras use CF cards which are inherently faster, and provided you can afford 3x or 4x the price for the body you get great performance. But that's not the point. Comparing SDHC to CF you're comparing apples to oranges.

Why did you choose that card reader? It's a bit obscure isn't it?

I would have gone for a Lexar Pro USB 3 card reader instead. Only does SD and CF, but it does them very well indeed.

Anyway, given your write tests on page one show the card itself is so much faster than the LCass 10 card, what is the point in showing the results from cameras that obviously don't take advantage of super fast cards?

Both those cameras are consumer level, I wouldn't be surprised if some of the mirrorless cameras post better write speeds, like the NEX-7, because it is a higher end camera (despite being smaller).

Also, I would have thought it would be useful to compair to against other UHS-I cards, such as the Sandisk Extreme Pro SDHC cards.
